Resound Energy Helps Bring EV Charging to More Than 30 Washington Sites Through WAEVCP Round 2
The work includes 16 King County Housing Authority sites, 11 Seattle Housing Authority sites, three sites in partnership with Greystar, 4 public DC fast charging locations and approximately $8 million in incentives that offset construction costs. Resound will be installing approximately 400 L2 ports and 40 DCFC ports as part of the program.
WOODINVILLE, WA, June 25th, 2026 – Resound Energy believes EV charging should be accessible to the communities, residents and property owners who can benefit from it most. The program will support more than 30 sites awarded funding through Round 2 of the Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program.
Across these projects, site hosts will save approximately $8 million in EV charging installation costs while expanding access to reliable charging infrastructure for affordable housing residents, multifamily communities and public charging users throughout Washington State.
This work reflects what our team is most passionate about: helping property owners, housing providers and community organizations access funding that makes EV charging possible. For many properties, the biggest barrier to deployment is not demand, but capital, complexity and knowing where to start. Through WAEVCP, Resound Energy is helping its customers move past those barriers and turn funding opportunities into infrastructure their tenants, residents and communities can actually use.
A critical part of this effort has been Resound Energy’s partnership with Adopt a Charger, Clean & Prosperous, and others. Their expertise, guidance and support have played an essential role in helping properties identify, pursue and capitalize on available funding opportunities.
Together, Resound Energy, Adopt a Charger, and Clean & Prosperous are helping organizations move from grant award to completed installation. That process requires more than installing equipment. It takes planning, coordination, utility communication, permitting, documentation, detailed reporting, and a clear understanding of program requirements.

The Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program, administered by the Washington State Department of Commerce, is designed to expand EV charging infrastructure in communities where private investment alone may not meet demand. Through Round 2, the program is supporting multifamily housing, public charging, workplace, fleet and community focused projects across the state.
The funding for WAEVCP round 2 through Adopt a Charger and Resound Energy includes 16 King County Housing Authority sites and 11 Seattle Housing Authority sites, helping expand charging access for residents in affordable housing communities. Additionally, Resound Energy will deploy four DC fast charging sites through the program to support public charging access and strengthen Washington’s broader EV charging network. These DC fast charging sites will be located in Milton, Yakima, Skokomish, and Wenatchee WA.
This work builds on our experience from Round 1 of WAEVCP, where Resound Energy successfully implemented 151 sites totaling $21.5 million in awarded funding. That experience has helped the Resound Energy team support customers through the full process of securing funding, planning projects, coordinating installations and meeting the requirements needed to bring each site online.
For affordable housing providers, this impact is especially meaningful. EV charging can help ensure the transition to cleaner transportation reaches more residents, including those who may not otherwise have access to charging where they live. Through WAEVCP Round 2, Seattle Housing Authority and King County Housing Authority are using grant funding to expand charging access across a combined 27 affordable housing sites.
For Seattle Housing Authority, the investment supports a long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship, health and equity.
