Horizon House EV Charging Project
Resound Energy completed a turnkey EV charging project at Horizon House in Seattle, installing 20 Tesla Universal Wall Connectors across four parking levels in the North and Central towers.
The project combined electrical infrastructure upgrades with networking, lighting, and parking improvements to integrate EV charging into the property’s existing garages. Resound coordinated the installation from electrical capacity assessments and permitting through charger commissioning.
Project Highlights:
- Installed 12 charging stations in the North Tower and 8 in the Central Tower, supporting Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles
- Added a 150 kVA transformer, a 400A main breaker panel, and an additional EV distribution panel
- Installed feeder and branch circuits to serve charging locations across all four garage levels
- Completed two 30-day load studies to evaluate available electrical capacity and inform the installation
- Integrated cellular networking to support charger connectivity and management
- Installed 20 cable retractors and 23 LED lighting fixtures to improve cable organization and visibility around charging spaces
- Managed permitting, parking stall striping, and commissioning of all 20 chargers
The installation brings convenient onsite charging to Horizon House, pairing broad vehicle compatibility with practical improvements to the parking environment. Cable management, lighting, and connectivity were incorporated alongside the electrical work to deliver a complete charging solution.
By coordinating work across two towers and multiple garage levels, Resound demonstrated its ability to adapt EV charging infrastructure to an existing building’s layout and electrical systems—bringing assessment, installation, and activation together under one team.
